Étienne decides that Monsieur Flacon, with his maple leaf shape and the magnificent golden treasure inside, will be the perfect gift for his friend Flora, who lives in Italy with her family. On arrival across the ocean, Flora and her family give Monsieur Flacon a special place of honor in their kitchen. They savour every drop of his precious syrup. Inevitably, the day comes when Monsieur Flacon is empty. Flora’s father, a glass artist, has a good idea.
